Returns & refunds

How returns actually work

Five things to know, in the order you'll need them. Call before sending anything back — every return starts with an authorization.

Time matters here

Our return window is short by design — the sooner you flag an issue, the faster it gets resolved:

  • Report any problem within 24 to 48 hours of the part arriving
  • Once you have a return authorization, the part needs to ship back within 7 business days
  • All issues need to be reported in writing — email, mail or fax all work
  • Customer care is reachable Monday through Friday, 7am–4pm PST, to walk you through it

How to return a part

Returns go through an authorization first — nothing shipped back without one is accepted:

  • Call customer care at 1-800-606-1107 and explain the issue with your order number in hand
  • We issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) with instructions for where the part goes back
  • Ship it back within the 7-business-day window using a tracked, insured method
  • Send us the return tracking number so we can confirm it's on the way
  • We inspect it on arrival and follow up by email with the outcome

Refunds and replacements

What you get back depends on what went wrong, and it's confirmed once the part is back in our hands:

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method once the return is received and inspected
  • Parts are identified by the markings on the unit, so what comes back has to be what we shipped
  • Labor costs are never covered as part of a refund or replacement
  • Return shipping is on the buyer unless we sent the wrong part or misquoted it
  • Reach us at sales@premiumusedautoparts.com if a refund hasn't posted within a reasonable time

What we can't accept back

A few situations fall outside the policy entirely:

  • Returns sent back without an RMA on file
  • Parts returned after the 7-business-day window has closed
  • Modified, tested or disassembled parts, including anything opened up to diagnose
  • Parts bought for testing purposes, which are non-returnable
  • Anything different from what was actually shipped needs to be reported first, not returned outright

Fees worth knowing about

Most orders never see a fee, but a few situations carry one:

  • Cancelling an order after it's been processed carries a 25% restocking fee plus shipping costs
  • Ordering the wrong part and returning it carries the same 25% fee plus shipping both ways
  • Refusing a delivery, or not responding to carrier contact attempts, carries the fee as well
  • There's no fee when the fault is ours — a wrong, damaged or misdescribed part is replaced or refunded at no cost to you
  • Not sure which situation you're in? Call 1-800-606-1107 before refusing or shipping anything back

Need to start a return or report a problem?

Call before sending anything back so we can issue an authorization. Getting that in place first keeps everything straightforward.
