How it gets to you

From your order to your dock

  1. STEP 01

    We verify and photograph it

Before anything ships, we confirm the exact part is in stock and in the condition described, then pull it and photograph it as it comes off the vehicle — usually within 7 working days.

  2. STEP 02

You sign off on the photos

You see the actual unit before it leaves our dock, not a catalog image. Nothing ships until you approve it, which typically takes about 2 working days.

  3. STEP 03

    It ships to you

Once approved, the part is packed and handed to the carrier. Transit generally runs about 5 working days depending on distance. Shipping is free nationwide.

  4. STEP 04

    We keep you posted

A tracking number lands in your inbox within 2 days of dispatch, and your rep stays reachable if the carrier's timeline shifts.

Before dispatch

What we need on file before it ships

What's required depends on how big the part is — worth checking before your order is ready to go.

Smaller parts

Ships to your billing address

Alternators, modules, sensors and similarly sized parts can ship straight to the billing address on file for the card used to order — no extra paperwork needed.

Engines & transmissions

Needs a business address on file

Large assemblies need a commercial address, a company name and a named contact — full name, direct phone number and email — before dispatch, plus your authorization for us to coordinate delivery with them. A forklift may be required to unload a crated unit, and arranging one is on the receiving end.

On delivery day

The moment it lands on your dock

  • Examine the packaging the moment it arrives — before the driver leaves, not after.
  • Note any visible damage directly on the bill of lading, and keep a copy for your records.
  • Keep all packaging until your inspection is finished.
  • Crate looks badly damaged? Call 1-800-606-1107 before refusing it — refused deliveries carry a restocking fee, and we'd rather sort it out with you on the line.
  • Something look off? Call us or email sales@premiumusedautoparts.com before you install anything.

Timing, handling and what to expect

FAQ

Because a used part is a specific unit, not a catalog number. We verify it's genuinely in stock and in the condition described, then send you photos of that exact part. Shipping first and sorting it out later is how people end up with a return, a restocking fee and a second round of labor.

Roughly two to three weeks door to door on a typical order — up to 7 working days to verify, about 2 for you to approve the photos, and around 5 in transit. Smaller parts often move faster. These are estimates, not guarantees.

For a crated engine, transmission or similar assembly, usually yes. Freight carriers won't unload one at a residential curb. Arranging the forklift, the cost and the operator are on the receiving end, which is why we ask for a commercial address.

Within 2 days of the part leaving our dock, by email. If the carrier's timeline moves after that, your rep can tell you where things actually stand.
